After leaving Galatasaray, Dries Mertens announced that he has decided to retire without signing with any club.



Galatasaray, the Super Lig giant, parted ways with Dries Mertens at the beginning of the season, and he has retired from football at the age of 38.

Speaking at the Marktrock Festival in Leuven, Belgium, Mertens announced the end of his football career, stating, "I have retired and quit football. It is time for a new challenge."
