Selcuk Yilmaz, the owner of the illegal match broadcaster site SelcukSports, was recently caught in an operation conducted by MIT in Denizli. The first image of Selcuk Yilmaz, who was arrested after being taken into custody, has emerged.
Within the scope of the operations conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Cyber Crime Branch under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a joint operation was carried out with the MIT regarding the crime of 'illegal betting'.
OWNER OF SELÇUKSPORTS DETAINED During the operations, it was determined that an internet site, where users could watch Turkish Super League matches for a certain fee and subscription, was broadcasting without authorization, and users accessing the site were directed and encouraged to illegal betting sites. Selçuk Yılmaz, known publicly as 'Selcuksport', who was identified as the manager of the said internet site, was detained in a raid on his home in the Pamukkale district of Denizli.
ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON After the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court and sent to prison.
'MY MONTHLY INCOME IS 3 THOUSAND EUROS' Selçuk Yılmaz's statement to the prosecutor's office emerged. He said, "I have a martial arts school in Germany. I have no other income. I previously worked in a factory for about 10 years. During that time, my wife and I had a total income of around 3 thousand euros. After leaving work, after being unemployed for about a year, I opened my martial arts school by paying 25 thousand euros. I earn a monthly income of 10 thousand euros there. However, the amount remaining for me is around 2 to 3 thousand euros. I travel to Cyprus for holiday purposes. My last trip to Cyprus was to clear my mind after an argument with my wife about business matters. The GSM numbers you asked about are lines registered in my name. I do not remember the number of my line used abroad. I left my phone in Germany because the bill for my line was too high. The photo shared on the X account named Colman's Bandanas, which you asked about, is my Instagram profile photo. The personal information shared on it also belongs to me. The line +49 15...75 was a phone I used in Germany. However, my phone was lost earlier at a 5-star hotel in Antalya, whose name I do not remember. After my phone was lost, I did not report it anywhere. The hotel was a 5-star, all-inclusive hotel. We never left the hotel. However, I did not notify the hotel management about my phone being stolen or lost. As far as I remember, my phone was lost in June-July. Then, in the tenth or eleventh month, I emailed the relevant operator to close my line and requested the line to be deactivated. I did not have a computer back then. I do not understand computers. It is not possible for me to use such sites. I definitely do not gamble illegally. I sometimes gamble on legal sites. I haven't gambled for 4-5 months. A case was filed against me in Germany based on Digiturk's complaint. Using my stolen phone, a registration was made on the Selçuk Sport site with my registered email address. The case, opened after the detection, was concluded about 3-4 months ago. The case was resolved in my favor. My lawyers will submit the related documents to the file later. I do not accept the allegations against me. That is all I have to say on the matter."
