AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Organization Ahmet Büyükgümüş made critical assessments regarding the ongoing early election debates in the public opinion. Emphasizing that early elections are not on their agenda, Büyükgümüş signaled that a "technical date arrangement" could be made if necessary for President Erdoğan's re-candidacy.
Speaking at a press conference held at AK Party Headquarters, Ahmet Büyükgümüş shared the details of the new program within the scope of the "Türkiye Century Meetings". Büyükgümüş, who evaluated the AK Party's founding anniversary and the commemoration events of the Malazgirt Victory, drew attention to President Erdoğan's emphasis on Determination.
"THERE IS NO EARLY ELECTION ON OUR AGENDA, THERE IS SERVICE"
Responding to a press member's question about early election debates and the rally schedule, Büyükgümüş stated that AK Party organizations work in a structure ready for elections at any moment and used the following expressions: "We do not conduct our work with such a distinction as whether there is an election or not. We work as a cadre prepared for whatever step we will take whenever. A technical date arrangement can be made for the candidacy of our President, apart from that, what is on our agenda right now is not early elections or such, but serving our nation and bringing more intellectual excitement to our nation."
CHANGES IN PROVINCIAL PRESIDENCIES AND CONGRESS SCHEDULE
Also touching upon the flag changes within the party and organizational work, Büyükgümüş stated that the processes in AK Party are carried out with courtesy:
- Provincial President Changes: Stating that the change took place within the law of brotherhood, Büyükgümüş said, "Unlike in other parties, a picture where doors and windows are broken and people hurl insults at each other will never happen with us."
- Congress Schedule: Clarifying the claims of ordinary or extraordinary congresses, the Head of Organization noted that the schedule is clear, there are still months until this issue, and as of now, there is no extraordinary congress work on their agenda.
