Eight people, including the mother and brother, were arrested in the Narin Güran murder case.

In the investigation of the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, 8 people, including the mother and brother, were arrested, while 4 were released under judicial control. The number of detainees in the investigation has risen to 10.

The suspects, including the mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Fuat Güran of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who was killed in Diyarbakır, were sent to the duty magistrate's court as part of the investigation. 8 of them, including 2 cousins and their aunt, were arrested, while 4 were released under judicial control.

The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found in Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8, continues by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

8 PEOPLE ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON

Among the suspects who were detained as part of the investigation and brought to the duty magistrate's court after the procedures at the gendarmerie yesterday, Yüksel (44), Enes (18), Fuat Güran (41), Muhammet Kaya (23) and Birsen Güran (19), Maşallah Güran (46), Mehmet Şevket Kaya, who is the husband of their aunt, and Mehmet Selim Atasoy (40), who is known to be the worker of their imprisoned uncle Salim Güran, were arrested.

MOTHER AND BROTHER ACCUSED OF "PARTICIPATING IN INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE"

Mother Yüksel and brother Enes Güran are accused of "participating in intentional homicide", uncle Fuat Güran is accused of "destroying evidence of the crime", and the other 5 suspects are accused of "covering up the guilty and destroying evidence of the crime". They were arrested and sent to prison.

NUMBER OF PRISONERS INCREASED TO 10

Among the suspects, R.A. (15), who is the worker of Narin's uncle Kurtuluş and Ömer Faruk Güran, and their cousin Melike Güran and Salim Güran, were released under judicial control. The number of prisoners increased to 10 as part of the investigation.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Search operations were initiated for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe neighborhood. Salim Güran, the headman of Tavşantepe neighborhood and also the uncle of Narin Güran, was arrested by the duty magistrate's court on September 2. Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced that Narin Güran, who went missing, was found dead on September 8 at around 08:45 with her clothes inside a sack hidden with stones on the edge of Eğertutmaz Stream. Zorluoğlu stated, "According to the initial findings, it is understood that after Narin Güran was killed, she was placed inside a sack and brought to the edge of the stream, and the sack was placed in the water, giving the impression of a natural appearance by covering it with tree branches and stones."

Nevzat Bahtiyar (48), one of the 24 suspects who were detained as part of the investigation, claimed in his statement at the gendarmerie that his uncle Salim Güran asked him to throw the lifeless body of the child into the stream in exchange for 200 thousand liras. He was referred to the court and arrested on September 10 for the crime of "participating in intentional homicide". One of the suspects, who was found to be an imam in the neighborhood, was released after the procedures at the gendarmerie on September 11. 22 suspects were brought to the courthouse after the procedures at the gendarmerie yesterday, and after the interrogations at the prosecutor's office, the mother Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Fuat Güran, as well as 2 cousins and their aunt, were sent to the court with a request for their arrest. While 3 of the suspects were sent to the court with a request for judicial control, 10 people, including the father Arif Güran, were released.
