THEY HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE RETURNING FROM A CONDOLENCE VISIT
The tragic accident occurred in the afternoon at the rural Tepealtı Neighborhood location on the Cizre road in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. According to the information obtained, the Öztürk family, who had attended a condolence visit for a relative in the district center, had a traffic accident on their way back. The car with license plate 47 ADZ 606, whose driver's identity has not yet been learned, went out of control and fell into a water channel on the side of the road. Upon the report of those who saw the accident, many health, fire brigade and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
4 CHILDREN LOST THEIR LIVES AT THE SCENE
Teams that reached the accident site intervened for those in the car that had fallen into the water channel. In the checks made, it was determined that Zana Öztürk (5), Mert Öztürk (5), Mehmet Şirin Öztürk (11) and Lavin Öztürk (9), who were trapped in the vehicle, had lost their lives. Fikriye Öztürk (30) and Gülcan Öztürk (28), who were seriously injured in the accident, were taken to Nusaybin State Hospital by ambulances after the first intervention by health teams at the scene.
SAD NEWS ALSO CAME FROM THE HOSPITAL
Doctors mobilized to keep the two women taken under treatment at the hospital alive. However, Fikriye and Gülcan Öztürk could not be saved despite all the interventions. Thus, the number of people who lost their lives in the accident rose to 6. The bodies of the 4 children and 2 women who lost their lives were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy procedures.
