During a search of the house, a rifle, handguns, 977 rounds of ammunition, substances stated to be drugs, and thousands of dollars were seized. The 24-year-old influencer, who denied the arms trafficking charge, was remanded in custody by the court she appeared before.

During a search of the house, a rifle, handguns, approximately a thousand rounds of ammunition, drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash were seized. The influencer, who was detained on charges of arms trafficking, was arrested by the court to which she was brought.
THEY WENT TO HER HOME BECAUSE OF RENT DEBT
The incident occurred in the Pance area of Cali, Colombia. Officials came to the home where Wendy Jeanette Durán Bocanegra, a social media influencer born in New York, USA, and also a Colombian citizen, lived, as part of legal proceedings initiated due to unpaid rent debts.
Acting in accordance with a court order, officials who went to the house noticed that there were many weapons and ammunition inside. The situation was then reported to security forces.
THERE WAS PRACTICALLY AN ARSENAL IN HER HOME
During the search carried out by Colombian police at the house, a US-made Colt rifle of 5.56 millimeter caliber, two 9 millimeter Glock handguns, and a total of 977 rifle rounds were seized.
During the searches, a magazine with a capacity of 35 rounds, two holographic sights, and a laser attachment were also found.
Authorities began investigating the source of the weapons seized at the influencer's home and for what purpose they were kept.
THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND A MONEY COUNTING MACHINE WERE ALSO FOUND
The searches at the house were not limited to weapons. Police teams also seized 4,844 dollars in cash, a money counting machine, two precision scales, two laptops, and a mobile phone.
Substances stated to be drugs were also found during the search. However, no detailed information was shared regarding the type and amount of these substances.
SHE SAID SHE DID NOT HAVE A WEAPONS LICENSE
After authorities found the weapons, Wendy Durán was asked whether she had the necessary permits to possess the weapons in question.
It was reported that after the young influencer said she did not have any weapons license, she was taken into custody.
The Colombian Attorney General's Office filed charges against Durán for the manufacture, trade, and transport of firearms and ammunition.
SHE DENIED THE CHARGES AND WAS ARRESTED
Durán, who was brought before the court, did not accept the charges brought against her. However, the court, evaluating the evidence presented by the prosecution, decided that the young woman should remain in prison during the trial.
It was stated that although substances described as drugs were found in the house, no drug possession charge was brought against Durán at this stage.

THE SOURCE OF THE WEAPONS IS BEING INVESTIGATED
The Colombian Attorney General's Office announced that the investigation is ongoing to determine where the seized weapons and ammunition were obtained from and where they were intended to be sent. Authorities are also investigating whether the young influencer has connections to other criminal activities. The judicial process regarding the charges against Durán continues.
