New allegations have emerged regarding Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who was arrested on charges of "illegal betting," "money laundering," "qualified fraud," and "bribery." Journalist Murat Ağırel reported that Kütahyalı brought a luxury car from Georgia to Turkey three years ago. It was revealed that Kütahyalı used fake plates to avoid returning the unpaid vehicle to its owners and also altered the car's chassis number.
It has been learned that Kütahyalı, who is among the names detained in an operation organized in 21 provinces centered in Adana, was found to have millions of lira in money movements in MASAK investigations. The report stated that a total of 35 million TL was deposited into his account in 192 transactions, and approximately 50 million TL in transactions were made through the POS devices of linked companies.
“HE STOLE A CAR, BROUGHT IT TO TURKEY, WAS CAUGHT, BUT THE FILE WAS CLOSED”
Journalist Murat Ağırel, speaking on the Onlar TV broadcast, made striking claims about Kütahyalı. Ağırel alleged that Kütahyalı had a problem in the past with a luxury car brought from Georgia, using the following statements:
"There are seizures on all of Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı's assets. There are multiple seizures on the cars. He doesn't pay for any work he does. He has his house furniture made but doesn't pay for it. People win compensation lawsuits against him, but Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı doesn't pay that either. The person with the most seizures on their assets, as a creditor, is his ex-wife Nagehan Alçı. Because he owes her the most. He stole a car, brought it to Turkey, was caught, but the file was closed."
ALLEGATION OF FAKE LICENSE PLATE AND CHASSIS NUMBER
Ağırel claimed that about three years ago, Kütahyalı went to Georgia with his wife Pınar Ayaz and became involved in the process of purchasing a luxury vehicle there. According to the allegation, Kütahyalı said he would pay for the car after returning to Turkey, but then did not pay and did not return the vehicle.
Ağırel used the following words in his statement:
"About 3 years ago, he goes to Georgia with his current wife Pınar Ayaz. They conduct a car sale-purchase transaction there, and Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı says he will pay for the car after the entry-exit process. After coming to Turkey, he never returns to Georgia, does not pay for the car, and does not return the vehicle."
“HE USED A SMUGGLED MERCEDES WITH POLICE PROTECTION”
Stating that the company that sold the luxury car later tracked the vehicle, Ağırel claimed that the car was found in the garden of Nagehan Alçı's house. It was alleged that the vehicle was used with a fake license plate and that the chassis number had been altered.
Ağırel's statements included the following:
"The company that sold the car also goes after the car. They search for it in Turkey and, as a result of their investigation, reach Nagehan Alçı. They explain the situation and ask, 'Is there such a car?' Nagehan Alçı replies, 'There is a car like that in the garden, but I don't know if it's that one.' Then Tuna Arif Ağaoğlu comes to the garden and checks, and indeed, the car stolen from Georgia is there. They immediately call the police, and the police come and wait by the car.
Then they see that the license plates placed on the car are fake and the car is registered in Georgia. They call this a 'change vehicle,' actually. They bring the vehicle without customs and change the chassis number to that of another car in Turkey, using it illegally.
Since Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı has a state-assigned protection, he can comfortably use his car with fake plates here because he easily passes all inspections. Moreover, he doesn't just do this for a Mercedes. He commits the same irregularity with a Jaguar brand vehicle as well, and both smuggled cars are currently missing. It is thought that he hid them in a friend's garage."
