Explosive claim: The minimum retirement pension is being raised to 12,000 TL, a report will be presented to President Erdogan.

The latest allegation that emerged in Ankara circles has caused a stir while millions of retirees are waiting for an increase in their pensions. It is claimed that AK Party officials have taken action to raise the minimum retired pension from 10,000 TL to 12,000 TL, and a report on the subject will be presented to President Erdogan during the week.

While millions of retirees focus on the increase in their pensions in the March elections, the government had closed the doors to an increase in recent statements, but the latest allegation that has emerged in Ankara's corridors has caused a stir.

MILLIONS OF RETIREES EXPECTING AN INCREASE

The 24.73% increase in pensions for SSI and Bağ-Kur retirees in the previous period did not reflect on retirees receiving less than 10,000 TL. This situation had caused dissatisfaction among millions of retirees. In response to this, AK Party's economic advisors have initiated work to increase the minimum retiree pension.

THE FIGURE WILL RISE TO 12,000 TL

AK Party's initial proposal is to raise the minimum retiree pension, which is currently 10,000 TL and received by 3 million people, to 12,000 TL. This step is being taken on the grounds that the increase rate based on the base pension does not reflect on the minimum pensions, along with the determination of the inflation difference.

REPORT TO BE PRESENTED TO ERDOĞAN WITHIN THE WEEK

AK Party advisors will present the report they have prepared on the subject to President Erdoğan within the week. Erdoğan, who will examine the report of the advisors, who also requested financial reports regarding the minimum retiree pension from relevant ministries, will move the work to the agenda of the Parliament quickly and it will be approved in the Parliament in July.

SECOND IMPROVEMENT WITHIN THE YEAR

If this new regulation is also approved, there will be a second improvement for those receiving the minimum retiree pension within the year 2024.
