In Beyoğlu, Istanbul, two individuals harassed a young woman they cornered while walking down the street. Footage captured by security cameras shows one of the individuals attempting to forcibly kiss the young woman and then knocking her to the ground and getting on top of her. The individuals were taken into custody by the police, and it was learned that they have numerous criminal records ranging from robbery and assault to sexual assault and auto theft.
Last week, in an incident that took place in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, a 23-year-old young woman returning home was harassed by two individuals in the middle of the street. The suspects threatened the young woman by cornering her against a wall and physically assaulted her. The violence of the incident shocked those nearby.
NIGHTMARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET
In the footage of the incident, it was seen that the individuals cornered the young girl walking in front of them and attempted to kiss her, and they tried to climb on top of the girl they had knocked to the ground. The young woman's screams echoed in the silence of the night.

It was learned that the suspects, who were taken into custody, had numerous criminal records ranging from robbery, assault, sexual assault to auto theft. This situation indicates that such incidents threatening public safety are not coincidental.
"MY UNCLE'S DAUGHTER" LIE DID NOT HOLD UP
One of the suspects, who was stopped by the intervention of a citizen who arrived at the scene, tried to save the situation by claiming that the young woman was his uncle's daughter at the moment of his capture. However, this lie was debunked by the footage from the security cameras.
