One of the individuals who called a citizen in Kırklareli by phone, introduced themselves as police officers, and took their jewelry and cash was caught in Bolu. On the suspect and in his bag, 5,500 dollars, 80 quarter gold coins, and 34 bracelets were seized; the total value was stated to be approximately 6 million lira. The suspect S.Ç. was arrested.
In Kırklareli, one of the individuals who defrauded a citizen they called by phone of approximately 6 million lira by introducing themselves as police officers was caught in Bolu as a result of the work of police teams. The suspect who was taken into custody was arrested by the court he was brought before.
THEY INTRODUCED THEMSELVES AS POLICE OFFICERS ON THE PHONE
According to the information obtained, the individuals who introduced themselves as police officers defrauded a citizen they called by phone and took their jewelry and cash. After the incident, an investigation was initiated by teams of the Kırklareli Provincial Police Department under the coordination of the Babaeski Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
As a result of the work carried out, S.Ç., who was determined to have committed the incident, was placed under surveillance and caught in Bolu.
GOLD AND FOREIGN CURRENCY CAME OUT OF HIS BAG
During a search of the suspect's person and bag, 5,500 dollars, 80 quarter gold coins, 2 half gold coins, 4 Reşat gold coins, 1 Ata gold coin, 34 bracelets of various types and sizes, as well as gold necklaces, chains, bracelets, earrings, wedding rings and other jewelry items were seized. It was stated that the total value of the seized cash and jewelry items was approximately 6 million lira.
The caught suspect and the seized criminal elements were taken to the Kırklareli Public Order Branch Directorate for necessary procedures. After his procedures, S.Ç., who was referred to judicial authorities, was arrested by the court he was brought before and delivered to a penal institution.
