Actress Ece İrtem, who passed away at the age of 35 after falling ill at her home in Istanbul's Kadıköy district, was laid to rest in the Kuşadası district of Aydın amidst the tears of her loved ones.
İrtem, who died on June 15, 2026, one day after her birthday, her death caused great sorrow among her relatives and fans. The body of the young actress Ece İrtem was collected from the Forensic Medicine Institute by her father Vural İrtem yesterday.
"SHE WAS VERY PRECIOUS TO US"
Actress İrtem's funeral was laid to rest in Kuşadası Yeniköy Cemetery, following the funeral prayer at Hanım Mosque after the noon prayer, amidst the tears of her loved ones. Family relative Semra Karataş said in a statement about the death of the young actress, "She was a person we loved very much. She was very precious to us. Her death at a young age has plunged us into mourning; we are all very sad."
The funeral was attended by the young actress's mother Nuriye İrtem, father Vural İrtem, family relatives, TV and film actor Gürkan Uygun, the young actress's friends, and a large number of citizens.

Ece İrtem, born on June 14, 1991, in Sivas, began her arts education in Izmir.
After her university education, İrtem turned to acting and settled in Istanbul, taking theater and stage lessons at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Center.
Throughout her career, the young actress had roles in many beloved TV series such as "Kızılcık Şerbeti", "Yeni Gelin", "Kertenkele", "Payitaht Abdülhamid", "Zümrüdüanka", "Kuruluş Osman", and "Mahkum".
