Famous actress Elçin Sangu reacted to the arrest of manager Ayşe Barım, who was detained in the investigation related to the Gezi Park events, saying, "Discussing sectoral issues is a separate matter, but the decision to arrest someone based on evidence we have not yet seen, dating back 12 years, only gives me the feeling that we are polarizing again and preparing for another election."
It has been determined that manager Ayşe Barım, who was detained on the grounds of being one of the planners of the events, directed artists to participate in the protests and had intense communication with defendants such as Osman Kavala, was arrested on the charge of "aiding and abetting an attempt to overthrow the government of the Republic of Turkey or to prevent it from performing its duties."
While politicians and famous figures reacted to Barım's arrest, the posts of famous actress Elçin Sangu drew attention.

In her post, Sangu wrote, "In this matter, which is gradually turning into a communication disaster, the statements of some of our friends who distort the issue and the elements of people unrelated to the sector speaking as if they know a lot are making the process even more chaotic.
