Israeli-born businessman Yakir Levi, known for his appearance on a reality show aired in the USA, died after falling from the 28th floor of a luxury hotel where he was staying in Florida. While the investigation into the death of the 45-year-old Levi, who sent a message saying "I'm coming" to his friends minutes before the incident, continues, his family and close relatives firmly deny the suicide allegations.
In an incident at Acqualina Resort and Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, USA, 45-year-old Yakir Levi died after falling from the 28th floor. Medical teams arriving at the scene determined that Levi had lost his life.
HIS LAST MESSAGE DREW ATTENTION
Levi, who lived in Los Angeles with his wife and three children aged 4, 10, and 12, had sent a message saying "I'm coming" to two friends he was about to meet shortly before the incident. Relatives expressed that they do not believe this was a suicide for that reason.
Levi's close friend Eran Hersh stated, "They were going to meet to go out. There is no logical explanation for this. The day before, he was smoking a cigar on a boat, living one of the best days of his life."
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office Homicide Bureau is investigating the incident as an "unclassified death" while examining Levi's cell phone and bag. However, initial police records indicated the incident was recorded as "injurious suicide."
Officials have not yet made a final statement regarding the exact cause and manner of death. The investigation is reported to be ongoing.
HE HAD BUILT HIS FORTUNE IN THE USA
Yakir Levi, born in Ramla, Israel, reportedly went to the United States with only $300 in his pocket and amassed a multi-million dollar fortune through a company he founded specializing in the restoration of buildings damaged by natural disasters.
His success story was also featured on Israel's Channel 13 reality program "The Americans," which focuses on Israelis trying to establish a life in the USA. It was learned that Levi's funeral will be held in Israel.
