Honda has decided to stop selling cars in South Korea by the end of 2026.
Japanese automaker Honda has decided to end its automobile sales activities in the South Korean market. The company announced on its official website that automobile sales operations of Honda Korea, headquartered in Seoul, will completely cease by the end of 2026.
Honda stated that behind this decision are changes in the global and South Korean automobile market, as well as the need to direct resources to more efficient areas with the goal of increasing competitiveness in the mid- to long-term. The company explained that it took this step after comprehensive evaluations.
Meanwhile, despite discontinuing automobile sales, Honda will continue to support existing customers. The company reported that vehicle service and maintenance, spare parts supply, and warranty support will continue.
It was stated that Honda Korea will now focus more on its motorcycle business segment and strengthen its activities in this area. The company aims to offer more attractive products to customers in South Korea and improve service quality.

Honda's performance in the Turkish market has also been weak recently. The company, which decided to stop sales of its flagship model Civic in Turkey, has shifted its investments to the motorcycle segment.
