The theater artist Anta Toros (77) passed away in Bodrum. The artistic community bid farewell to him during a ceremony held at the Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage in Kadıköy. Toros's funeral was held, and he was laid to rest next to his wife, Misak Toros, at the Şişli Armenian Cemetery.
A ceremony was held at the Kadıköy Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage for theater artist Anta Toros (77), who passed away in Bodrum on Saturday, August 30. The ceremony was attended by Toros's daughter, as well as theater artists Suna Keskin, Ayşe İnci, Ulvi Alacakaptan, and Hakan Altıner. After the funeral service held at the Three Horan Church, Anta Toros was buried next to her husband Misak Torus at the Armenian Cemetery in Şişli.
Film and theater actress Anta Toros passed away on August 30 at the Bodrum State Hospital where she was receiving treatment. A memorial ceremony was held at the Kadıköy Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage for Anta Toros, who acted in series such as 'Adını Feriha Koydum', 'Çocuklar Duymasın', 'Acı Hayat', 'Adanalı', and 'Yarım Elma'. Many figures from the art community and Toros's admirers attended the ceremony. After the ceremony at the Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage, Toros's body was buried at the Şişli Armenian Cemetery.
'I AM VERY LUCKY TO BE THE CHILD OF TWO WONDERFUL PEOPLE'
During the ceremony, Toros's daughter, İrna Büyüksakayan, gave a speech. Büyüksakayan said, "Honestly, I am not prepared at all, and I am not as skilled as they are, but how lucky I am to be the child of two wonderful people. I thank you all very much, and I thank both of them for leaving such beautiful friendships." Theater artist Suna Keskin stated, "50 years of friendship, 50 years of companionship, 50 years of professional partnership, everything. It is very difficult to send off such a beautiful and valuable friendship that has been present in every moment of my 50 years. Goodbye, Anta." Theater and series actress Ayşe İnci said, "I cannot say anything different from what everyone has said about dear Anta. I have admired her greatly since the day I met her. She was a very elegant and sweet woman with a beautiful face and a beautiful smile." Theater artist Ulvi Alacakaptan remarked, "We have been together since day one. The place where she received her training was called the Friends Theater. We worked together for 2 years. Anta was the first professional among us."
CEREMONY AT THE THREE HORAN CHURCH
Anta Toros's funeral was brought to the Three Horan Church after the ceremony held at the Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage. Toros's family received condolences here. A funeral service was then held for Anta Toros. Many family members and numerous artists attended the ceremony. Toros's body was buried next to her husband Misak Toros, who passed away in 2010, at the Şişli Armenian Cemetery. Friends and relatives left carnations at her grave, bidding farewell to Anta Toros as they left the cemetery.
