The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention order against the so-called influencer Fatma Soydaş, who drew reactions with her content on social media, on charges of "publicly denigrating religious values." Following the warrant for her arrest, Soydaş was taken into custody by police teams.

Fatma Soydaş, who switched to a paid subscription system after increasing her follower count on social media and allegedly shared inappropriate content through this platform, had her recent posts push the limits. Soydaş, who made many inappropriate posts including foot photos under the category of exclusive content, sparked a huge uproar on social media by presenting these contents combined with religious symbols and headscarves. The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, acting on intense reactions and complaints from citizens, initiated legal proceedings against the suspect.
VIDEO FROM HOURS BEFORE DETENTION DRAWS ATTENTION
Fatma Soydaş, against whom an investigation was launched on grounds of "publicly denigrating religious values" and who was taken into custody, did not go unnoticed with her last video shared on her social media account hours before the decision.
In the video, Soydaş, explaining her reason for dressing modestly, was seen responding to the question directed at her, "Is it easy or difficult to wear modest dress in this heat?" with the answer: "It's hard, but hell is hotter. Thinking about this, the heat doesn't affect us too much. Allah grants us patience, after all." It was reported that Soydaş's procedures at the police station were ongoing.
