Fenerbahçe Beko came back from an 18-point deficit for the second time in the Basketball Super League semifinals, defeating Anadolu Efes again by a single point and taking a 2-0 lead in the series.
Fenerbahçe Beko defeated Anadolu Efes 73-72 at home in the second match of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League playoff semifinal series.
ANADOLU EFES STARTED THE MATCH EFFECTIVELY
The first quarter saw the lead frequently change hands, ending with Anadolu Efes ahead 18-16. In the second period, Fenerbahçe Beko couldn't find its rhythm on offense. Anadolu Efes extended the lead to 18 points (29-47) late in the quarter against their opponent, which made consecutive turnovers, and entered the locker room with a 15-point advantage (32-47).
FENERBAHÇE JOINED THE GAME
The yellow-navy team entered the second half with an effective performance from Horton-Tucker, reducing the deficit to 3 points by the 28th minute: 52-55. While the latter part of this quarter saw mutual scoring, the visiting team maintained its lead and went into the final period ahead 58-56.
FINAL QUARTER WAS BREATHTAKING
The final quarter started with both teams having a low shooting percentage, with no baskets in the first 2 minutes. Until the middle of the period, both sides missed consecutive open shots on offense. In the closely contested match, Fenerbahçe Beko, increasing its tempo with shorter players, took the lead with a dunk from under the basket by Melli with 3 minutes 22 seconds remaining: 68-66. The remaining time featured a great struggle, with the yellow-navy team entering the last 1 minute 9 seconds with a 73-72 lead. In the final moments, although the home team made consecutive turnovers, Anadolu Efes couldn't score, and Fenerbahçe won the match 73-72.

The yellow-navy team managed to win by coming back from an 18-point deficit in the first two games of the series. With this result, the yellow-navy team made the series 2-0. The third match of the series, where the team to reach three wins will advance to the final, will be played on Friday, June 5, hosted by Anadolu Efes at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center.

For Fenerbahçe Beko, Tarık Biberovic's 20 points and Talen Horton-Tucker's 19 points stood out in the victory. For Anadolu Efes, Jordan Loyd's 19 points and Şehmus Hazer and PJ Dozier's 12 points each were insufficient to secure the win.
