Ferrari Driver Vettel Wins Malaysian Grand Prix

Ferrari's German driver Vettel puts Italian team at the top in Malaysian Grand Prix after 22 months.

Ferrari's German driver Sebastian Vettel was victorious in the second race of Formula 1 season, Malaysian Grand Prix held at Sepang International Circuit on Sunday.



Putting Italian team over the top of the podium in Malaysia after 22 months, Vettel took his first victory at Ferrari where he was transferred at the beginning of this season.



Moreover Ferrari finally managed to end their long-term title drought since the former driver of the Italian side, Fernando Alonso lastly made Ferrari win the Spanish Grand Prix on May 12, 2013.



Completing the race with 1: 41: 05.793 degree, Vettel won his 40th race during his career.



Defending champion Lewis Hamilton was the runner-up in Malaysia as he completed the race 8.5 seconds behind Vettel. Another Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg came in third after finishing the race 12 seconds behind the leader.



Vettel raised his points to 40 in drivers standings led by Hamilton with 43 points. Rosberg is in third place with 33 points.



The next Grand Prix will be held in China on April 12.
