In an operation carried out in Istanbul against the FETÖ armed terrorist organization, 19 suspects, including an active public official, were detained. During the work coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, profiling lists belonging to individuals assessed to be linked to the organization in the recruitment of court clerks, prison guards, and court ushers in past years were examined. In a simultaneous operation conducted at the identified addresses in the morning hours, a large number of digital materials were seized.
In Istanbul, as part of the investigation into FETÖ's public personnel recruitments in past years, 19 suspects, one of whom is an active public official, were apprehended.
FILING LISTS EXAMINED
The Istanbul Police Department's Organized Crime and Intelligence Branch directorates, under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, launched an operation to identify and apprehend individuals linked to the FETÖ armed terrorist organization. Within the scope of this work, filing lists belonging to individuals assessed to have links to the organization in the court clerk, prison guard, and court usher recruitments held in past years were examined.
HIGH AFFILIATION CODE AND BYLOCK DETECTION
In the examinations, public officials determined to have been assessed by the organization with a high affiliation code and individuals alleged to be ByLock users were identified.
19 SUSPECTS DETAINED
Following the work, simultaneous operations were carried out at identified addresses in the morning hours to apprehend 19 suspects, one of whom is an active public official. During the operation, all suspects were detained, and numerous digital materials were seized during searches at the addresses.
