Fidan Atalay, known by the alias 'Fidan Hoca', who was detained in Izmir on charges of committing the crime of 'obscenity' in social media posts and generating income through this, was arrested by the court she was referred to in Ankara.

Regarding the posts, videos, and photo content made by the Instagram user 'fidannatalay,' known on social media as 'Fidan Hoca,' which were found to constitute the crime of "obscenity" as regulated under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK), and since the suspect's generation of income through this method also constitutes the crime of "laundering of property values derived from crime" as regulated under Article 282 of the TCK, an investigation was initiated ex officio by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In line with the request of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect Fidan Atalay was detained in Izmir. Having her statement taken via SEGBIS and being referred to the Ankara Duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest, a decision of arrest was issued for Fidan Atalay.
