The fire that broke out in the manufacturing section of the TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. campus in Eskişehir was brought under control through intense aerial and ground intervention by civilian and military teams. While no loss of life occurred, employees at the massive facility were evacuated, and cooling efforts in the area continue uninterrupted.

A fire broke out for reasons not yet clear at the campus of TUSAŞ Motor Sanayii A.Ş. (TEI), operating in the Esentepe District of Eskişehir. Upon notification, numerous fire brigades, AFAD, ESGAZ, and medical teams were dispatched to the region. Teams are continuing their intense efforts to bring the flames under control.

MILITARY AND CIVILIAN TEAMS MOBILIZED

In addition to civilian teams, two military firefighting teams from the 1st Main Jet Base Command under the Air Forces Command are also supporting the extinguishing operation. As part of security measures, personnel working at the factory were evacuated quickly and without incident.

GOVERNOR ERDİNÇ YILMAZ CONDUCTED INSPECTIONS IN THE REGION

Eskişehir Governor Dr. Erdinç Yılmaz arrived at the scene immediately after the news of the fire and received real-time information from officials about the ongoing extinguishing and security operations. The security perimeter in the area has been expanded.

SUSPICION OF ENERGY-RELATED EXPLOSION

No official statement has yet been made regarding the cause of the fire. However, according to preliminary assessments, it is believed that the flames rose as a result of an explosion at an energy source in the facility and the subsequent ignition of flammable materials spreading to the surroundings. Teams continue their efforts to bring the flames under control.
