A fire broke out in a moving commercial taxi in Kağıthane Okmeydanı. The driver, noticing the situation, pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and evacuated the passengers at the last moment.

FIRE BREAKS OUT IN MOVING TAXI

The fire occurred around 21:00 at the Kağıthane Okmeydanı Viaduct. According to the information obtained, a commercial taxi with the license plate 34 THA 34, driven by Ali D., began emitting smoke from the left headlight while in motion. With the effect of the wind, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. The driver, in a panic, pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and evacuated the passengers, including a child.

Upon notification, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. After half an hour of work by the teams, the fire was extinguished. As a result of the fire, the vehicle became unusable.

"THERE WAS A CHILD IN THE CAR TOO"

The driver of the car, Ali D., who described the incident, said, "A guy came to me and said smoke is coming out of the car. Suddenly, smoke started coming out of the left headlight. I immediately pulled the vehicle to the right side. There were passengers in the car. The passengers were unharmed. Suddenly, flames flared up. There was also a child about 7-8 years old in the car, I didn't panic and got the child out," he said.
