A stray bullet from indiscriminate firing in the Syrian city of Qamishli crossed the border and hit Prof. Dr. Ayfer Gözü in the Nusaybin district of Mardin. Gözü, who was visiting from Diyarbakır, was injured and taken to the hospital. After initial treatment, the professor was transferred to Mardin, where her treatment was completed and she was discharged.

TAKEN TO HOSPITAL, TREATMENT COMPLETED

The injured professor was taken to Nusaybin State Hospital after the incident. After initial intervention there, Gözü, who was referred to Mardin Training and Research Hospital, was reported to have completed her treatment and been discharged.
