Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated in a statement during the weekly cabinet meeting that operations in Lebanon will continue following his order for a 'violent offensive.' Netanyahu claimed Hezbollah violated the ceasefire and said they would increase military pressure.

While tensions regarding Israel's attacks on Lebanon escalate once again, recent statements from Benjamin Netanyahu have increased questions about the future of the ceasefire. The Israeli Prime Minister claimed that Hezbollah violated the ceasefire, stating that attacks will continue.

"INTENSE ATTACKS WILL CONTINUE"

In a statement during the weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu emphasized that operations against Lebanon will continue following his order for "intense attacks" to the military.

"We are acting decisively in accordance with the arrangements agreed upon with the US and indirectly with Lebanon," Netanyahu said, adding that they will not only retaliate but also continue operations to "eliminate threats."

CEASEFIRE BECOMES CONTENTIOUS

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah was briefly halted by a temporary ceasefire that took effect on April 17. US President Donald Trump announced that the 10-day ceasefire was extended by an additional 3 weeks.

However, mutual accusations of violations by both sides indicate that the ceasefire on the ground has effectively weakened.

NUMBER OF DISPLACED EXCEEDS 1 MILLION

Since March 2, the Israeli military has conducted intense airstrikes on Lebanon, targeting numerous settlements in the south of the country.

According to the Lebanese government, the number of displaced people due to the attacks has exceeded 1 million 162 thousand. This situation shows that the conflict has reached not only a military but also a serious humanitarian crisis dimension.
