68-year-old Ali Gökmen, who went from Antalya for Umrah, lost his life after feeling unwell while visiting the grave of his son, who died in the holy lands last year. The grieving father, who had buried his son Turan Gökmen in Mecca, with whom he had gone for Umrah about 20 months earlier, went to the holy lands again this year. It was learned that the funeral of Gökmen, who died at his son's grave, will also be buried in Mecca.
Ali Gökmen, 68, who lives in Yeşilbayır Neighborhood of Döşemealtı district in Antalya, went to Saudi Arabia with his son Turan Gökmen on February 18 last year to perform the Umrah pilgrimage.
However, Turan Gökmen became ill in the holy lands and passed away. Ali Gökmen, who experienced great pain after his son's death, buried his body in Mecca.
