Action has been taken to close Batuhan Karadeniz's social media accounts. The duty magistrate accepted the prosecutor's request and decided to close Karadeniz's social media accounts. The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegation of promoting illegal betting is ongoing. After the house arrest and release of singer Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil, the prosecutor's office has now taken action to close the social media accounts of the fugitive Batuhan Karadeniz. The duty magistrate accepted the prosecutor's request and decided to close Karadeniz's social media accounts. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had initiated an investigation for the crime of "promoting illegal betting" on social media. In the investigation regarding the allegation of promoting illegal betting, the identities of 23 suspects, including social media influencers and some famous names, have been identified. Among the suspects alleged to have appeared in illegal betting advertisements are singer Serdar Ortaç, presenter Mehmet Ali Erbil, former football player Batuhan Karadeniz, social media influencers İbrahim Yılmaz, Muzaffer Zorbey Erkoçlar, Sefa Caner Sarıçam, and Russian and Turkish citizen Aleksander Mensikof. HOUSE ARREST DECISION FOR ERBIL AND ORTAÇ After completing their procedures at the police station, 16 suspects were sent to the courthouse following a health check. Mehmet Ali Erbil and Serdar Ortaç were referred to the court with a request for arrest, and at the courthouse, Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil stated that they regretted their actions. The court decided to release Serdar Ortaç and Mehmet Ali Erbil under house arrest. BATUHAN KARADENIZ'S SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN CLOSED As part of the investigation, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has now taken action to close the Instagram and YouTube accounts of the fugitive Batuhan Karadeniz. The prosecutor's office requested a restriction on access to the accounts from the duty magistrate. The magistrate, evaluating the decision, decided to close Karadeniz's Instagram and YouTube accounts.
