The months-long highland labor of nomadic families who set out from Iğdır and walked thousands of steps to the highlands of Kars and Ardahan has ended. The difficult but visually spectacular return journey of the nomads, who once again set out on the road to Iğdır with their herds, was captured from the air.
The arduous journey of about 70 days, started by nomadic families setting out from Iğdır toward the highlands of Kars and Ardahan to graze their animals, has been completed. After the highland stay, which a total of 10 families spent in close contact with nature along with thousands of sheep, preparations for returning home began as the weather grew colder.
THE THOUSANDS-OF-STEPS RETURN JOURNEY HAS BEGUN
Despite harsh geographical conditions and natural circumstances, the nomads, who reached the fertile highlands of Kars and Ardahan after days of walking, set off on a long journey back toward Iğdır together with their flocks.
A BREATHTAKING SIGHT
During the journey, the transport of the animals and their progress under tough terrain conditions were filmed by Muhammet Çiçek with a drone. The immense line formed by the flocks along valleys and roads created visual scenes that left viewers in awe.
