Summer season activity has accelerated in the Kuşadası and Didim districts of Aydın, which are among the prominent tourism destinations of the Aegean Region. Increasing reservations since June have raised expectations for the remainder of the season in the tourism sector. Tourism professionals aim to achieve occupancy rates of up to 95 percent in July and August.
Kuşadası and Didim districts of Aydın, which host thousands of domestic and foreign tourists every year with their blue flag beaches, historical riches, and natural beauties, are also attracting great interest this summer. In Kuşadası, Güvercinada Castle, Ladies Beach, and Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta National Park stand out, while in Didim, Altınkum Beach and Apollo Temple are among the frequent destinations for visitors.
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER
108 tourism-certified hotels operating in the region offer holidaymakers a wide range of service options, especially with the all-inclusive concept. Industry representatives expect the momentum that started with the Eid al-Adha holiday to continue throughout the summer.
"COULD REACH 95 PERCENT"
Tacettin Özden, President of the Kuşadası Hoteliers Association, stated that due to global developments, reservations slowed down in the first months of the year, but with June, demand started to rise again. Özden expressed that with schools closing and the holiday season in Europe beginning, occupancy rates in hotels could reach 95 percent levels in July and August.
"THE BRITISH ARE THE MOST NUMEROUS"
"In terms of international reservations, the British are the most numerous," said Özden, adding, "After the British come Germans. In Poland and Central Europe, there are also Russians." Özden noted that the service offered by Turkish tourism professionals is unmatched in other countries and stated that tourists get more than their money's worth.
"RECOMMENDS TO FRIENDS WHO COME"
British tourist Garry Hopper, who was vacationing in Kuşadası, stated that he is happy to spend time here. Hopper, who also mentioned recommending the place to his friends back home, said, "This is my first time in Turkey, but it won't be my last. Just yesterday I called a friend. I told him, 'Come here for your holiday next year.' He's already made his reservation. I've done the same for my other friends. Whoever I see, I tell them, 'Let's come here for a holiday next year.'"
Jhon Green, on the other hand, stated that he came on a friend's recommendation and said, "The city is very beautiful. Restaurants, carpet sellers, shops are all very nice. It's a wonderful region. Please come to Turkey because it is very safe. Don't have any question marks in your mind; come here."
