Efforts are ongoing to extinguish the surface fire that spread to the forested area in the Pazar district of Rize. According to the information obtained, a surface fire broke out in the Durallar Forest area of Irmak village, which is part of the Pazar district, during the afternoon hours.
FLAMES SPREAD RAPIDLY
Upon receiving reports from the locals, the first response teams from the Kaçkar Fire Brigade were dispatched to the area, followed by teams from the Regional Forest Directorate. The flames quickly grew and spread to the forested area, aided by the wind, while the teams continue to intervene in the fire.
