In a residential apartment in the Efeler district of Aydın, two people were injured, one seriously, in an explosion that occurred for an unknown reason. The incident happened in the bathroom after insecticide was sprayed, and the washing machine caught fire. EXPLOSION AFTER SPRAYING INSECTICIDE
The incident occurred on the fifth floor of an apartment building located on 1908 Sokak in the Hasanefendi neighborhood of Efeler district. According to the information obtained, the mother S.Ö., her son B.Ö., and her son's friend İ.B.K., who were at home, sprayed insecticide in the bathroom due to a bad odor coming from there, suspecting an insect infestation. Shortly after, a violent explosion occurred in the bathroom for a still unknown reason.
FIRE BROKE OUT AFTER THE EXPLOSION, TWO PEOPLE WERE INJURED
Due to the explosion, the washing machine in the bathroom caught fire. While residents who heard the loud explosion were in panic, S.Ö. and İ.B.K. were injured in the blast. Upon notification, numerous fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Fire crews arriving at the scene quickly intervened in the fire that had broken out in the home.
MOTHER IS IN SERIOUS CONDITION
The injured, who received first aid from medical teams, were taken to the hospital by ambulances. It was learned that S.Ö., who was injured in the head, was in serious condition. After the fire was extinguished, fire crews carried out cooling operations, and security measures were taken in the area to prevent a new explosion.
An investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the explosion.
