A farewell ceremony was held in Najaf, Iraq, for Iran's former leader Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in US-Israeli attacks. The ceremony began in the early hours of the morning, with many people filling the squares carrying flags and posters.
BROUGHT TO NAJAF AFTER THE CEREMONY IN QOM
The body of Iran's former religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who died in the US-Israeli attacks, was brought to Najaf, Iraq, after a ceremony in Qom. Khamenei's body was received at Najaf International Airport by many Iraqi officials, including Iraq's Prime Minister Ali al-Zeydi. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also went to Najaf with the Iranian delegation to attend the funeral ceremony.

It was seen that Ali Khamenei's coffin was covered with the Iranian flag on the sides and the Tawhid flag on top. Another striking detail was that the coffin was placed inside a transparent glass shroud on the hearse.
WILL GO TO KARBALA TOMORROW AND FINALLY TO MASHHAD
Tomorrow, Khamenei's body will be taken to Karbala, Iraq, for a funeral ceremony. After the ceremony there, Khamenei's body will be sent back to Iran. The final ceremony for the former Iranian leader will be held on July 9 in Mashhad, his birthplace, and his body will be buried in a special area allocated at the Imam Reza Shrine in that city.
