In the Süleyman Shah Imam Hatip Middle School in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, physical education teacher E.B. severely beat 6th-grade student E.E.Ö. in front of his friends in the schoolyard. Following the incident that occurred on April 30 of last year, the court imposed a judicial fine of 5,040 lira on the teacher.
On April 30, 2024, during the volleyball tournament held at Süleyman Shah Imam Hatip Middle School, E.E.Ö., whose cousins became champions, threw the water from the plastic bottle in his hand into the air to celebrate.

At that moment, physical education teacher E.B., claiming that water was coming over him, angrily attacked his student with kicks and slaps.

In the security camera footage, it was seen that the teacher ran and kicked his student, then slapped him. The student, who fell to the ground from the blows he received, later limped to his friends.
STUDENT FILED A COMPLAINT
Following the complaint of the student's family, a lawsuit was filed against the teacher on the charge of "simple injury." In addition to the security camera footage, the investigation file included a photo of the school t-shirt worn by the student during the incident, which had kick marks, and the injury report.

In the hearing held on December 31, 2024, at the Bursa 20th Criminal Court of First Instance, E.B., who made a defense, said, "I may have kicked his leg in a moment of reaction when water came over me. I'm sorry." The court sentenced the teacher to a judicial fine of 5,040 lira in the case where he was tried with a request for up to 1 year in prison.
