The Ministry of Industry and Technology has launched the "Local Development Drive Incentive Program" covering 9 provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. The program, shaped according to the region's potential, offers strategic advantages such as cash support of up to 301 million lira, 50% tax reduction, and investment site allocation.

Within the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Local Development Breakthrough Incentive Program will provide incentive support for investments to be realized in the provinces of the Southeastern Anatolia Region, covering many areas such as industrial inputs, livestock investments, licensed warehousing projects, and honey and bee products production.

BASED ON THE POTENTIALS AND SECTORAL NEEDS OF 9 CITIES

The investment topics determined within the framework of the Local Development Breakthrough Incentive Program, coordinated by the Ministry, are shaped according to the existing potentials and sectoral needs of the 9 cities in the region, aiming to support agriculture-based industry, advanced manufacturing, and tourism investments. Through the incentives provided in this direction, it is targeted to increase employment and expand value-added production.

Through the program, investments in the designated areas will be offered various supports ranging from tax deductions to insurance premium support, from interest or profit share contributions to investment site allocation and income tax exemption, depending on the size of the investment. Within the scope of the Local Development Breakthrough Incentive Program, which envisages providing up to 301 million liras in cash support for each investment and a tax deduction of 50 percent of the investment, investment supports for various sectors will be transferred to the provinces in the Southeastern Anatolia Region.

LIVESTOCK, INDUSTRY, AND VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTION IN THE FOREGROUND

In Mardin, known as the "city where religions and languages meet," the supported investments will highlight industrial bakery products, starch-based value-added products, cultural industries, and value-added production from grapes and by-products.

In Siirt, where integrated livestock investments with a minimum capacity of 1000 small ruminants and licensed warehousing projects for Siirt pistachio with a minimum annual capacity of 2000 tons will be supported, accommodation facilities of four stars and above, as well as honey and bee products production, will also be included in the incentive scope.

In Şırnak, in addition to integrated livestock investments with a minimum capacity of 1000 small ruminants, investments in parts and components for land vehicles, furniture production, and peanut processing facilities will be supported.

In Şanlıurfa, which offers a wide range from faith tourism to archaeology, support will be provided for value-added production from cotton and cotton by-products, agricultural machinery and parts production, processing of agricultural products, and stone wool production investments.

With the supports to be provided within the framework of the Local Development Breakthrough Incentive Program, it is envisaged to strengthen the production infrastructure in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, create new employment areas, and increase the region's attractiveness for investment. Thus, the development process starting from the local level is expected to contribute to reducing regional development disparities.
