The events that started with a Syrian national molesting his own relative, a little girl, in Kayseri turned the city into a burning place, and as part of the investigation launched, 67 people were detained. It was learned that the incidents, which flared up in the late hours, were quickly brought under control thanks to the speech and call made by Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek. Footage of Governor Çiçek's speech to a large crowd during the escalating tension also emerged.

The events that started with a Syrian man sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl, who is his relative, in Danişmentgazi neighborhood of Melikgazi district in Kayseri turned the city into a fire scene.

Footage of Governor Çiçek's speech to the group that caused the incidents emerged. It was seen that Çiçek addressed the crowd from the balcony and said, "Look, neither our police nor anyone else should get hurt here. 5 of our police officers are currently injured in the hospital. I beg you, don't raise your hands against the police. For the sake of Allah, everyone go home. Everyone go home, friends, come on,"

Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, who made a call to the crowd with a megaphone, later approached the citizens and said, "I understand. You want peace in Danişmentgazi neighborhood," It was heard that the man Çiçek addressed replied, "Mr. Governor, we know how you manage this city. We know that you are here for us," It was heard that Çiçek responded, "We promise you,"
