According to Gizem Güçlü's statement, actor and manager Ertunç Uygun created fake profiles on various social media platforms by unlawfully obtaining Güçlü's photos and personal data for nearly 10 years. It was claimed that he engaged in virtual relationships with many people using the identity of Gizem Güçlü.
RESULTED IN A PRISON SENTENCE
After experiencing this severe digital abuse, Gizem Güçlü filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office. A decision was made on November 12, 2021, during the final hearing of the case against actor and manager Ertunç Uygun. The court ruled that Uygun committed the crime of 'unlawfully obtaining and disseminating personal data' under Article 136/1 of the Turkish Penal Code. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years and 1 month in prison.

Gizem Güçlü announced the events to the public on her social media account with the following words: "Based on the evidence, I filed a complaint about actor and manager Ertunç Uygun, who has been living a virtual relationship with many individuals through fake profiles he created on various social media platforms by stealing my photos and personal data for nearly 10 years. In my final hearing on November 12, 2021, it was decided that the defendant Ertunç Uygun was sentenced to 2 years and 1 month in prison for committing the crime of unlawfully obtaining and disseminating personal data under Article 136/1 of the Turkish Penal Code."
