Great success from Turkish youth in international science olympiads

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that young people representing Turkey in TÜBİTAK Science Olympiads won 4 gold, 8 silver, and 1 bronze medal, and said, "I congratulate our valuable young people who were trained within the scope of the TÜBİTAK Science Olympiads Program for their outstanding achievements."

Minister Kacır congratulated the students who won medals in international science olympiads in a post on his social media account.

"OUR YOUTH RETURNED FROM SCIENCE OLYMPIADS WITH MEDALS AGAIN"

In his post, Minister Kacır stated: "Our youth returned from science olympiads with medals again. At the 15th European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad held in France, our students representing our country won 2 gold and 2 silver medals; at the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad held in Greece, our students representing our country ranked first in team points, winning 2 gold and 4 silver medals; at the 60th Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad held in Russia, our students representing our country won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal, becoming a source of pride for us."

Congratulating the successful students and their families, Minister Kacır said, "I thank all our students who participated in the olympiads, their families, teachers, and the academics involved in the training."

4 MEDALS AT THE 15TH EUROPEAN GIRLS' MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD

At the 15th European Girls' Mathematical Olympiad, held in Bordeaux, France, with 260 students from 67 countries competing, aiming to support and encourage talented female students in mathematics at an international level, our students representing our country won two gold and two silver medals.

Our young scientists, trained within the scope of the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out under TÜBİTAK to represent our country in Europe, Defne Hergül and Bengisu Demirbaş won gold medals, while Ilgın Şekerli and Elif Kiraz won silver medals, returning home.

6 MEDALS AT THE 43RD BALKAN MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD

At the 43rd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, held in Thessaloniki, Greece, with 148 students from 24 countries competing, aiming to support and encourage talented mathematicians at an international level, our students representing our country won 2 gold and 4 silver medals.

Our young scientists, trained within the scope of the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out under the TÜBİTAK Science Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB) to represent our country internationally, Ege Akgün and Alperen İnan won gold medals, while Tuğra Özbey Eratlı, Selim Doğan, Mustafa Dortluoğlu, and Umut Kağan Yazgan won silver medals. Additionally, our students brought great pride to our country by ranking first in total team points among participating countries.

3 MEDALS AT THE 60TH MENDELEEV CHEMISTRY OLYMPIAD

At the 60th Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, held in Moscow, Russia, with 160 students from 37 countries competing, bringing together talented students in chemistry at an international level, our students representing our country won two Silver and one Bronze medal.

Our young scientists, trained within the scope of the 2202 Science Olympiads Program carried out under the TÜBİTAK Science Support Programs Directorate (BİDEB) to represent our country internationally, Bahri Eren Sarıkaya and Kaan Doğan won Silver medals, while Mustafa Efe Cesur won a Bronze medal.
