Halil Umut Meler has been banned from Saudi Arabia.

The Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Referee Committee, Manuel Navarro, announced that Halil Umut Meler will no longer officiate matches in the country.

Speaking about Meler, who was heavily criticized for his management during the Al Shabab - Al Hilal match, Navarro said, "We will not call Halil Umut Meler for our matches again. He made mistakes that affected the outcome in the Al Shabab - Al Hilal match."
