In Beyoğlu, Ali Ç. invited a woman he worked with via social media to his home to spend time. After a while, the woman's collaborators, her spouse and another 17-year-old suspect, came to the house. The 2 suspects who arrived at the house assaulted Ali Ç. and robbed him of 20,000 TL and 2 phones. Ali Ç., saying "I was robbed by a woman I didn't know," filed a complaint. The 3 suspects were arrested.

In the Yenişehir neighborhood of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, lively moments occurred around 04:00 on Tuesday, April 21. According to information obtained, Ali Ç. (24) invited Meltem G. (27), whom he met on social media, to his home. While the two were together, Meltem G. called her husband Ali G. (47) and S.T. (17) to the house.

BOTH BEATEN AND ROBBED

The two individuals who entered the house beat Ali Ç. and took 20,000 lira, 2 mobile phones, and his personal belongings. The suspects then left the house with Meltem G. After the incident, Ali Ç. went to the police and filed a complaint, saying he was robbed by a woman he did not know.

POLICE REVEALED THE TRUTH

Beyoğlu Public Security Bureau teams launched an investigation upon the victim's complaint. Security cameras in the area were examined. The investigations revealed that the suspects arrived at the scene in a light commercial vehicle. The teams identified the vehicle's license plate and reached the driver. In the interview with the driver, it was determined that he was working as an illegal taxi and dropped off the 3 people he picked up at a hotel. Following this, police teams conducted a raid on the said hotel.

SUSPECTS CAUGHT AT HOTEL

During the operation, Meltem G., her husband Ali G., and S.T. were taken into custody. In searches conducted in the rooms where the suspects were staying, 13,910 lira in cash believed to belong to Ali Ç., 2 mobile phones, 2 suitcases containing personal belongings, the motorcycle's registration and keys were seized. 1.3 grams of methamphetamine were also found during the searches.

111,610 LIRA FINE

Meanwhile, civilian traffic teams imposed an administrative fine of 100,000 lira on the illegal taxi driver, and the vehicle was impounded for 60 days and towed to the parking lot. The driver's license was confiscated for 30 days. A fine of 3,870 lira per person, totaling 11,610 lira, was issued to the 3 suspects found in the vehicle. A total administrative fine of 111,610 lira was imposed on the driver and the suspects.

3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED

After their procedures at the police station were completed, Meltem G., her husband Ali G., and S.T. were referred to the courthouse. The 3 suspects, who were brought before the court, were arrested on charges of 'Robbery' and sent to prison. It was learned that Meltem G. had 7 previous criminal records, her husband Ali G. had 4, S.T. had 3, and Ali Ç. had 3 criminal records with the police. It was determined that the suspects and Ali Ç. had a total of 17 criminal records previously.

"I WAS LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY"

It was learned that in her statement, Meltem G. said she had been looking for a place to stay for about 1.5 months, during which she met Ali Ç., and that Ali Ç. showed her several houses, but when she did not like them, Ali Ç. invited her by saying, "Come to my house."
