US President Donald Trump drew attention during a meeting at the Oval Office where he hosted NASA's Artemis II astronauts, making a remark about NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman's ears. Trump called out to Isaacman, 'Did you hear the question with those beautiful ears?' and said, 'He has super hearing.' The meeting also covered NASA's future, the Artemis II mission, and Trump's comments about astronautics.

US President Donald Trump met with astronauts involved in NASA's Artemis II mission in the Oval Office. During the meeting, questions from the press about NASA's future and whether the agency's headquarters would be relocated outside Washington also came up.

A reporter asked whether relocating NASA's headquarters in Washington to another state after its lease expired was being considered. It was noted that states such as Texas, Ohio, and Florida had shown interest in this matter.

“DID YOU HEAR THE QUESTION WITH THOSE BEAUTIFUL EARS?”

Trump pointed to NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman to answer the question. Turning to Isaacman, Trump said, “The best person to say this is the man standing here.” Then, with a humorous tone directed at Isaacman, he said, “Did you hear the question with those beautiful ears?” Trump continued, “You know he hears very well. He has super hearing.” Isaacman responded to Trump's comments by saying, “The trick of the trade, sir.”

ISAACMAN'S PROCESS AT NASA CAME UP

43-year-old billionaire investor Jared Isaacman was confirmed as NASA’s 15th administrator in December, following his second nomination by Trump. Trump had previously withdrawn Isaacman's initial nomination due to his donations to Democratic figures and his ties to Elon Musk, but later renominated him.

ARTEMIS II ASTRONAUTS DESCRIBED THE HISTORIC MISSION

The Artemis II mission was also discussed during the Oval Office meeting. Pilot Victor Glover, Commander Reid Wiseman, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen made history earlier this month by becoming the people who traveled the farthest distance from Earth during a 10-day flight around the Moon. During the astronauts' visit, Trump said that being an astronaut requires physical and mental competence.

“IT WOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM FOR ME”

Trump stated that one must be very intelligent and physically strong to become an astronaut, saying, “You need to be very smart to get in there. Physically, you also need to be good at many things.” Referring to his own physical condition, Trump said, “It would not be a problem for me. I am very, very good physically.” Then, turning to Isaacman, he asked, “I don’t know if there might be a bit of a problem, Jared. We might have to try it sometime. Is a president allowed to go on one of these missions?” Isaacman replied, “We can work on that, Mr. President.”
