A person who came to Adana for vacation claimed that they shot and killed their brother-in-law with a gun, whom they argued with, alleging that they treated their sibling badly. The suspect, who was captured by the homicide bureau teams, said in their initial statement, "We had met to talk, but things escalated into a fight. I regret it."

Mehmet Kuş, who came to Adana for vacation from Istanbul, killed his brother-in-law who was abusing his sister. The suspect, who was captured in a police operation, was arrested and sent to prison by the judicial authorities.

The incident took place on July 4th in Pekmezli neighborhood, Yüreğir district. Allegedly, 33-year-old Faruk Soyyiğit assaulted his wife T.S. As a result, T.S. started staying at her father's house.

Mehmet Kuş, who came to Adana for vacation from Istanbul, met his brother-in-law Faruk Soyyiğit, who was treating his sister badly, in a street in the neighborhood to talk. The argument between the two quickly turned into a fight. During the fight, Mehmet Kuş shot and killed his brother-in-law Soyyiğit and fled.

HE LOST HIS LIFE IN THE HOSPITAL

Soyyiğit, who was injured, fell to the ground covered in blood. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The health teams that arrived at the scene took Soyyiğit to the hospital, but despite the interventions, he could not be saved.

SUSPECTED MURDERER WAS CAPTURED IN AN OPERATION

The Homicide Bureau teams affiliated with the Security Branch Directorate determined that the suspect was hiding in a residence in Ziyapaşa neighborhood, Seyhan district, during their efforts to capture the suspect. Upon this, the teams raided the house and captured Mehmet Kuş.

"HE WAS TREATING MY SISTER BADLY, AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED"

It was claimed that Kuş said in his statement at the police station, "He was treating my sister badly, we met to talk. When a fight broke out, this is what happened, I regret it." After the procedures at the police station, the suspect was taken to the courthouse and arrested by the court.
