Beşiktaş's black-and-white fans have been banned from attending the match against Lyon in the third week of the UEFA Europa League. Following this decision, the management has decided to appeal to UEFA.
The decision has been made for the Lyon-Beşiktaş match, classified as very high risk by the National Hooliganism Combat Unit in France, which will be played in the 3rd week of the UEFA Europa League.

According to a report on RMC Sport; Beşiktaş fans will not be allowed into the stands for the match against Lyon, which will be played away on Thursday, October 24.
FANS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BE IN THE CITY CENTER EITHER
In the decree published by the Rhône prefecture, it was stated that black and white fans are prohibited from being in the city center of Lyon, train stations, airports, stadium, and its surroundings on the match day.
INCIDENT OCCURRED 7 YEARS AGO
Before the Lyon - Beşiktaş match played in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League in the 2016-2017 season, incidents broke out among fans, and the match started with a 45-minute delay. UEFA announced that both teams would be banned from European competitions for 1 year if similar incidents occurred again within 2 years.
BEŞİKTAŞ WILL APPEAL
On the other hand, it has been learned that the Beşiktaş management will appeal to UEFA regarding this decision. The Lyon Club obtained this decision by citing the incidents in the match played against Beşiktaş in the Europa League in 2017. Beşiktaş will argue in its application that the penalties from that time have been left behind and will cite the absence of incidents in the recent Ajax away match as an example.
