As the deadline for renewing driver's licenses approaches, the experiences of a person who has not renewed his license have created a stir. Gökhan Oktar, who lost both of his hands in an accident during childhood, found himself in a legal battle while trying to renew his driver's license.

"HEALTH REPORT WAS NOT ISSUED"

According to a report by Yavuz Alatan from Sözcü, Okan, who stated that he has been driving for years, said, "They created a bureaucratic obstacle; I have been driving since 1975. A health report was requested to renew the license, but the health report was not issued."

HE COULD NOT ACHIEVE RESULTS NO MATTER WHAT HE DID

Oktar recounted the judicial process, saying, "First, I went to court, and they said, 'We have no authority.' The Council of State also ruled against me. Finally, I went to the Constitutional Court. I could not get a result from there either."

HE IS GOING TO THE ECHR

Oktar will take his struggle to the European Court of Human Rights as domestic legal avenues have been exhausted.
