In Aksaray, Bülent O. fired 24 shots at the door of his former father-in-law and uncle, İsmail Ok. İsmail Ok, who was hit in the head by a bullet and lost his life, was taken to the hospital but could not be saved. Bülent O. was taken into custody.
In Aksaray, Bülent O. (43) fired 24 shots with a pistol at the door of the house belonging to İsmail Ok (79), his former father-in-law and also his uncle. One of the bullets that passed through the door hit İsmail Ok in the head, and he lost his life.
The incident occurred around 01:00 at the single-story detached house on 66 Street in Hacılar Harmanı Neighborhood. Bülent O., a father of three who divorced his wife 12 years ago, allegedly called his aunt Kadriye Ok on the phone after drinking yesterday and said he would kill his uncle, his former father-in-law İsmail Ok. Upon this, Kadriye Ok also called her brother İsmail Ok and explained the situation. Woken up by the call and getting out of bed, İsmail Ok went out to the entrance hall.
TAKEN INTO CUSTODY
At that moment, Bülent O. arrived at the house and fired 24 shots at the closed door. One of the bullets that passed through the door lodged in İsmail Ok's head, and he collapsed on the ground covered in blood. His wife, Sami Ok, called the 112 Emergency Call Center and requested help. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the address upon the report. The injured İsmail Ok lost his life at Aksaray Training and Research Hospital, where he was taken. Bülent O. was also taken into custody.
'HE WAS LYING COVERED IN BLOOD'
Describing the incident she experienced, Saime Ok (67) said, "We were sleeping at home. Around 01:00, his sister Kadriye called my husband on the phone. Kadriye told my husband, 'Your former son-in-law Bülent O. is coming there. Absolutely do not go outside.' After my husband finished talking on the phone, he went from the bedroom to the entrance hall of the house and turned on the light. At that moment, gunshots were heard. When I came to the entrance hall, my husband was lying on the ground covered in blood."
'HE USED 1.5 MAGAZINES'
İsmail Ok's nephew Hüseyin Doğan stated, "Bülent O. first calls my aunt Kadriye. He says, 'I will shoot my uncle.' My aunt also warns my uncle İsmail Ok by phone. She says, 'Don't go outside.' After the phone call, my uncle turns on the light in the entrance hall and waits. Then he comes and fires. He used 1.5 magazines."
