In Erzurum, a man angered by his estranged wife opening an Instagram account opened fire on his father-in-law's house with a pump-action shotgun. His father tried to persuade him for minutes, while a citizen recorded the incident with a cellphone camera. The suspect, who fled after the incident, was quickly apprehended by police teams.

STORMED HIS FATHER-IN-LAW'S HOUSE WITH A SHOTGUN
The incident occurred in the Palandöken district during the morning hours. S.T. (26) learned that F.T. (25), from whom he is in the process of divorcing, had opened an Instagram account. Reacting to this, S.T. took a pump-action shotgun and went to his father-in-law's house, where his wife was staying, in a complex located on Türbe road. Entering the complex's garden, S.T. fired four shots at the apartment on the first floor of the seven-story building where his wife was located. The pellets hit the balcony window and a room window of the house. At that moment, M.T., who arrived at the scene, tried to calm his son and take the shotgun from him.
Upon notification, police were dispatched to the address, and S.T. fled upon seeing them. The teams, who cordoned off the area, caught S.T. with the crime weapon, a pump-action shotgun, on Afşar Street. While S.T. was taken into custody, crime scene investigation teams found three empty cartridges in the complex garden during their work.
