During a parking dispute in Ataşehir, a woman brandished a fake ID card claiming to be a 'Judge-Prosecutor' and made threats. After the footage went viral, Justice Minister Akın Gürlek issued a statement, saying, 'A judicial investigation has been launched immediately against the individual. The profession of judges and prosecutors is a guarantee of the rule of law and one of the strongest safeguards of our nation's sense of justice. No one can exploit this title to gain influence.'
In Ataşehir, during a parking dispute between two drivers, it was determined that İ.E., who showed a card indicating he was a 'Judge-Prosecutor', displayed a fake card. An investigation has been launched against two suspects on charges of 'Threat', 'Illegal Assumption of Public Duty', and 'Violation of Privacy'.
The incident occurred today in Ataşehir. According to allegations, in a parking dispute between two drivers, İ.E., who showed a card reading 'Judge-Prosecutor', was found to have displayed a fake card. After the images reflected on social media were evaluated as a tip-off, it was determined that İ.E. is not a judge or prosecutor.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Regarding the matter, the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against suspects İ.E. and O.O.G. on charges of 'Threat', 'Illegal Assumption of Public Duty', and 'Violation of Privacy'.

The events were recorded by O.O.G. using a mobile phone. The footage includes moments where İ.E. shows a fake card indicating he is a 'Judge-Prosecutor' and says, 'I know what I will do to you.'

In a statement on his social media account regarding the incident, Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek said, "In the incident that occurred today in İstanbul Ataşehir; an immediate judicial investigation has been launched against the individual who threatened one of our citizens by using the title of 'judge/prosecutor' despite not being a member of the judiciary. The profession of judgeship and prosecution is a guarantee of the rule of law and one of the strongest assurances of our nation's sense of justice. No one can exploit this title to gain influence. Those who attempt to disrupt public peace by using the name of the judiciary will never be tolerated; all necessary judicial and administrative proceedings will be carried out decisively against any attempt targeting the dignity of our judicial organization. We will resolutely continue to protect the supremacy of law, the honor of our judicial members, and the rights of our citizens."
