A dispute allegedly over a debt at the entrance of a hotel in the Ortaca district of Muğla ended in bloodshed. Serap Yılmaz and Hatice Yeysikan lost their lives after Ecevit C. opened fire with a pistol. The suspect fled the scene, and after a police chase, he was cornered and wounded himself with the same gun.
DISPUTE IN FRONT OF HOTEL ENDS IN BLOODSHED
The incident occurred around 21:30 in front of Bağhan Hotel on Başoğlu Street in the Terzialiler neighborhood. Ecevit C. allegedly began arguing with Serap Yılmaz and Hatice Yeysikan, who were in front of the hotel, over a debt issue.
OPENED FIRE ON TWO WOMEN WITH A PISTOL
As the argument escalated, Ecevit C. pulled a pistol from his waist and opened fire on the two women. Following the attack, the suspect fled the scene by car. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. Medical personnel determined that Serap Yılmaz had died, and Hatice Yeysikan was seriously injured.
COULD NOT BE SAVED AT THE HOSPITAL
Hatice Yeysikan, who was taken to Ortaca State Hospital with serious injuries, could not be saved despite all medical interventions. With Yeysikan's death, the number of fatalities in the incident rose to 2.
POLICE CHASED, HE SHOT HIMSELF
After the incident, the suspect Ecevit C., who fled by car, was cornered following a police pursuit and shot himself in the chest with the pistol, injuring himself. It was reported that the suspect, who was taken to the hospital, was in critical condition.
