The young girl stated that while she was traveling on the metro, an elderly person handed her a piece of paper with a verse from Surah An-Nur about veiling and chastity written on it; she recounted that with the words "Take it, it was written for you," her clothing style was interfered with and that she was subjected to psychological pressure by being implicitly called an "exhibitionist."
A new one has been added to the debates about interference in personal life and dress style on public transport. A young girl traveling on the metro stated that an elderly man handed her a piece of paper with a verse written on it and warned her about her clothing style.
"HE HANDED IT OVER SAYING, 'TAKE IT, IT'S YOURS, IT WAS WRITTEN FOR YOU'"
The young girl, who recounted the incident by recording a video, stated that while she was listening to music with headphones, a person approached her with a disgusted attitude. Expressing that the person insistently held out the paper, the victim said, "A piece of paper was thrust into my hand. He said, 'Take it, it's yours.' I say, 'No, it isn't mine.' He repeated three times, saying, 'Take this verse, it's yours, it was written for you.'"
THEY HAD WRITTEN THE VERSE FROM SURAH AN-NUR ABOUT CHASTITY
The young girl stated that the paper given to her contained a translation of a verse from Surah An-Nur about women's covering and chastity, and she drew attention to the words on the paper: "...except what is inevitably visible, they should not display their beauty and ornaments." Emphasizing that this act clearly implied she was an "exhibitionist," the young woman expressed her reaction, saying, "Why did you do this to me? It messed up my psychology so much... He is also old. I couldn't say anything either; my voice got stuck in my throat. The man next to me got angrier than I did."
"HOW WILL YOU EXPLAIN THIS ARROGANCE?"
The young girl, rebelling against being targeted because of her clothing style and the person's condescending attitude, concluded her post with the words, "So how will you explain this arrogance, O you who believe?"
