HE SET THE BELONGINGS ON FIRE, GRABBED THE PHONE
The incident occurred around 5:00 PM on the upper floor of the two-story building at No 114 Zati Yörüker Street, Mustafa Kemal Paşa Neighborhood. According to the allegations, Y.Y., who is a substance addict and has psychological problems, set fire to belongings and started a fire in the house where he lived with his family when no one was home. Y.Y. then called his father R.Y. (53) on the phone and told him he had set the house on fire and asked him to come and put it out.
TURNED INTO RUINS
Upon the report, police, fire brigade, AFAD, TREDAŞ, GAZDAŞ, and medical teams were dispatched to the address. As the fire grew rapidly, a woman living on the ground floor of the building was also evacuated outside with the help of those around. While the police took security measures in the area, fire brigade teams extinguished the fire after approximately 1 hour of intervention. As a result of the fire, the belongings in the house became unusable.
HAD SAID IT BEFORE
During the extinguishing efforts, the suspect Y.Y., who came in front of the house, was confronted by his father R.Y. and those around. Y.Y. was taken into custody by the police. Father R.Y. claimed that his son did not want to receive treatment and had previously threatened him that he would burn the house down. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
