The man, who was enraged, first blocked the path of his brother-in-law Yavuz Yılmaz (56), who was his sister's husband. İsmail M., who fired 8 shots at his brother-in-law with the gun he pulled from his waist in the middle of the street, left Yılmaz bleeding on the ground. After the horror on the street, the suspect quickly headed to his own home and, with the same gun, fired at his 27-year-old wife Canan M., killing her as well.
CAUGHT ON THE ROOF OF HIS HOUSE: IT'S A MATTER OF HONOR
Following the gunshots, numerous gendarmerie and health teams were dispatched to the area. The gendarmerie teams arriving at the scene, as a result of their search in the vicinity, caught the suspect İsmail M. on the roof of his house together with the weapon used in the massacre and took him into custody. İsmail M., who was taken to the Yıldırım District Gendarmerie Command for his statement, shouted to the press members filming him, "It's a matter of honor, the case is a matter of honor."
While the lifeless bodies of Yavuz Yılmaz and Canan M., who were determined to have lost their lives during the control by health teams, were taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy, the suspect's interrogation at the gendarmerie continues.
