HE LOADED IT ONTO THE TOW TRUCK AND PLAYED HER FAVORITE SONG
Truck driver Cenkay Şahin and Aleyna G. (20), whom he met 2 years ago, decided to marry. Wanting to surprise his girlfriend, Şahin had his modified car loaded onto a tow truck. He played his girlfriend's favorite song through the car's sound system. Şahin traveled with a 14-vehicle convoy from Yenişehir District to Kazım Yurdalan Neighborhood, where the prospective bride's house is located, honking his horn along the way. Cenkay Şahin and his friends entered the street with flowers in his hand and his family and vehicle convoy behind him; the torches they lit and the fireworks they set off illuminated the night. The neighborhood residents came out onto their balconies to watch what was happening. As the family went inside to ask for the girl's hand, the groom-to-be's friends made the car on the tow truck spin its tires and rocked it.
'THEY TOOK THIS SURPRISE VERY WELL'
Cenkay Şahin said, “I met my girlfriend 2 years ago. In order to show her how much I love her and how much I value her, and to impress her, I exchanged ideas with my friends. We decided to go ask for the girl's hand with a convoy. We brought a modified car and loaded it onto a tow truck. With a 14-vehicle convoy, we started from Erzurum Yenişehir and drove via Yunus Emre to the prospective bride's house. Torches were lit around there, we organized an event and hired a photographer. I had to play the song my girlfriend loves very much. We played that song through the sound system in the car. Then we went up to the house. After me, my friends made some noise in front of the door. I apologize on their behalf to the local residents there for disturbing them. My girlfriend took this surprise very well and was very impressed. They even went through both the back balcony and the front balcony and saw us. She was very happy. When she was happy, I became very happy too. They gave the girl [in marriage]; if it is destined, we will hold our wedding as soon as possible,” he said.
